Left New Zealand and my lovely big sis. Let's hope she and Bruce will be over in the next 6 months as they have promised. Miss her presence so much. Always knew she was just a phone call away but NZ seems so far. At least I can let Mum know that she is safe and happy in a beautiful house in a lovely part of the world.
12.5 hour to Los Angeles and we are sitting in our Airport Angel lounge and Paul has just poured himself a glass of wine. However the time difference means we have arrived here before we even woke up in NZ!!! All very tired because it was difficult to sleep with our body clocks telling us it is now after midnight when in reality Paul's wine is being drunk at 8am Sunday morning.
Managed the 6 hours over to NY although we had a delay due to bad storms over here so landed in torrential rain and it hasn't stopped yet!!
Taxi driver out to Di and Jonathan's was lovely and chatty so we learnt lots.
We crossed the White Stone bridge with a cloudy view of NY City.
Flushing Meadow appeared huge as did the base ball stadium next door.
We travelled north out of NY into Connecticut to their house.
Lovely to see them all and there was a meal ready for us.
The children soon settled in with Arthur either with nerf guns or on the Wii.
A very strange day because we have fitted in over 24 hours of flying time but we left at midday and arrived at Di and Jonathon's for an evening meal at 8 pm!!
A very long Sunday!! xxx
