Travelled down to Rotorua. The home of the geo thermal activity and of course the pongy sulphur smells....pooooh !!!
Found another little motel that we could all fit into although Paul and I would quite like a night away from arguing children!!
Spent an evening at the Mitai Maori village where we were entertained with a Maori show, ate a traditional Maori hangi (where all the food is cooked underground) which included chicken, lamb, sweet potatoes plus loads of salads and desserts. We then had a wander into the bush to see the glow worms plus trout and eels in the river.
The highlight of the evening was that Paul was chosen to be the chief of our party and he had to go on stage and meet the chief maori warrior,whilst he was war dancing to him. All great fun!
Back home for a spa bath at last! Xx
